Khandagiri and Udaygiri Caves


Khandagiri and Udaygiri Caves are one of the marvelous rock-cut shelters or caves made by Jains during the ancient times of India.These are both the adjacent hills located 6 K.M. west of Bhubaneswar and they are being separated by a Highway which connects N.H. 6 at one end and other end connects to the Chandaka (Elephant Sanctuary). Khandagiri and Udaygiri Caves are one of awesome picnic spots and a perfect place to hangout during your vacations. You can find lots of monkeys by our side jumping one tree to other. Sometimes they used to sit on different persons to snatch different food items the people are carrying with them... You will also love watching all these. Many shop relating to stone carving can be found besides these two hills. Many tourist used to come through out the year... You can find the ancient times elephant caves and ancient architectures. on these caves. It is really a nice place to spend holidays and picnic.
